Mr. Dayo Adepoju - (Chief Operating Officer)

  • Mr. Adepoju comes to us with a long and varied management and coordination experience and expertise in information technology and data management.
    As Chief Operating Officer for HLF, he provides administrative leadership for the organization. His tasks include supervision and coordinating of data collection, cleaning, and reporting, training new clinical trial staff; performing audits, developing and maintaining the HLF website, coordinating communications with the IRB, developing study site communication and disaster management plans and developing plans for disaster recovery of the information systems.
    He has been involved in research on breast cancer, HIV/AIDS, Asthma, Sickle Cell and Bioethics in Nigeria. He is currently pursuing an advanced degree in information technology and has participated in workshops, conferences and continuing education programs.

Mr.Samuel Tolulope Adekunle (Research Associate) – B.Sc. (Hons), MPH (Ib)

  • Samuel Tolulope Adekunle is a trained Environmental Health Scientist and his research interests focus on the links between exposure to environmental contaminants and health outcomes. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology and a Master of Public Health degree in Environmental Health from the University of Ibadan. He coordinated the recently concluded Ibadan Household Air Pollution and Adult Blood Pressure Study which investigated the effects of exposure to black carbon, particulate matter and carbon monoxide on adult blood pressure. Currently, he works with the house hold air pollution research team on a follow-up study focused on monitoring the health outcomes of young children exposed to household cooking emissions.

Mrs. Celia Imaria Anetor - (Research Associate)

  • Celia Anetor is a skilled epidemiologist and has great interest and expertise in reproductive and women’s health. This interest was developed during her NYSC year and she has since been gaining experience steadily through workshops (some of which she has facilitated) and research projects.
    She has also been actively involved in the training of research assistants, design of survey instrument, field survey planning and sample size calculation. She has also worked as a consultant for several UNICEF/Federal Government of Nigeria Joint projects on HIV/AIDS such as “Drivers of HIV/AIDS among young persons/adolescents in the three Junta states of Nigeria” and “Strengthening Coordination of PMTCT and Pediatric ART in Ondo State, Nigeria.”
    She is currently directly involved in the recruitment of hospital controls for our breast cancer study. She also works on a research project she has developed to evaluate the nature and prevalence of economic abuse to women in South-Southern Nigeria.

Mrs. Titilayo Babatunde - (Administrative Assistant)

  • Titilayo comes to us with vast secretarial experience. In her work as secretary and accounts officer, she:
    - Provides general secretarial and administrative support
    - Enters data from questionnaires into the database
    - Audits the company’s accounts
    - Prepares and pays staff salaries; and takes care of other bank transactions
    - Oversees the maintenance of the HLF assets such as the van and generator
    - Maintains files and keeps organization records

Mr.Babajide Okedere - (Laboratory Scientist)

  • Babajide Okedere is a skilled chemist with special interest and expertise in bio-analysis.
    His primary focus is in immunohistochemical analysis of cancer tissues, specifically estrogen, progesterone and Her-2 in breast cancer. Additionally, he is involved in DNA extraction from various kinds of samples, for genetic analysis. He also provides support for field work in both rural and urban communities in southwestern Nigeria.
    Some of his research interests are breast cancer, asthma, and sickle cell disease.

Mr. John Oluseye Olamijulo - B.Sc. (Hons), MPH (Ib) - (Project Coordinator)

  • John Oluseye Olamijulo is a seasoned Environmental Health Scientist with research interest inair quality management and human exposure assessment. He possesses a Bachelor of Sciencedegree in Microbiology and a Masters of Public Health degree in Environmental Health all fromthe   University   of   Ibadan.   He   is  currently   pursuing  a  doctoral  degree  at  the  Department  ofEnvironmental Health Sciences, University of Ibadan.John is  a   member   of   various   professional   bodies   and   he   has  publications   to   his   credit.   Hepresently coordinates the air quality assessment team of the Ibadan cookstove and birth outcomestudy funded by Global Alliance for clean cookstove Washington D.C. in collaboration withCentre for Global Health University of Chicago and Project Gaia, U.S.A.

Mr. Tope Babatunde Ibigbami - B.Sc. (Hons), M.Sc (Ib) - (Project Manager)

  • Tope Babatunde Ibigbami is a skilled Industrial chemist with research interest in exposure to Household Air Pollution from biomass burning and pregnancy outcomes. He holds a master degree from University of Ibadan, Ibadan Nigeria and a bachelor in Industrial Chemistry from Adekunle Ajasin University Akungba Akoko, Ondo State.  He act as the project coordinator for Ibadan Cook Stove and birth outcome study funded by Global clean cook stove alliance for cook stove Washington D.C in collaboration with Centre for Global Health University of  Chicago,illions,U.S.A. This role afford him the opportunity to Coordinate  all logistical details related to the project and engaging in discussions with Project Gaia, NABDA and  UI. He is in charge of providing project reports and relaying of pertinent information to the appropriate team members.
